Who would have thought this time last year I would be where I am at today, married to a beautiful woman with 2 awesome kids (I may be biased, ha). Some days it’s stressful others a breeze, but I wouldn’t trade it for the world…

It all started on April 19th, 2015 at Bendependence day. What is Bendependence day? It took place one month after my divorce was finalized, when my ex could no longer appeal the outcome.  It celebrated a new beginning and adventure with a roasted pig, keg and anyone and everyone who could show up. It was a blast (translation:I was hammered). I had people come in from DC and even the west coast! It felt great to be free from all that had dragged me down in the past.  Little did I know, I would meet my future wife there. We only shook each others hands that day, but the next day she invited my sis and I over for mimosas.  Hungover and hungry, we went over to her house and chilled out while throwing down some drinks. It was the perfect cap to the weekend. The following Saturday we did mimosas at my place. At the time I had met her, she had been batting for the other team (if you know what I mean), so i figured we were friends and would just kick it. (I’ve been known to be oblivious to the advances of women). We ended up hanging out that night, talking about what we wanted in our summers, looking forward to not being tied down. She was going to be my wingman and I hers. Cue: A Whirlwind.

I’m going to pause here. As I am writing this, I am sipping on a cup of AK-47 Expresso from Black Rifle Coffee Company listening to my daughter complain on why how she is unable to move a small stool two feet in front of the toilet (she carries this stool around the house and uses it everywhere).  And she is hungry and doens’t want to eat either. It’s going to be a great day!

Do work, be rad

People don’t get anywhere in life roasting small marshmellows.

Kermit the frog donated the pig. He came by, but without Ms. Piggy.
